Logical switches used for Layer 2 network extensions communicate directly with the L2VPN server through the trunk port interface on the NSX Edge hosting the L2VPN server service. If VXLANs are stretched from the L2VPN client, the logical switches will have a similar configuration and might be connected to a distributed logical router (DLR) for local routing in the on-premises site.
