vRealize Business Standard can be backed up and recovered using traditional virtual machine backup solutions, such as VMware vSphere Data Protection™ or VMware Data Recovery.

It is possible to perform file and database level backups of vRealize Business Standard. However, this will increase the complexity of both the backup configuration and restore process. VMware recommends backing up the entire virtual appliance at an image level.
